Heather Holton

Manufactured Housing and Cooperative Development Center Organizing & Technical Assistance Manager

Tel: (503) 537-0319 Ext. 329

Heather received a B.A. in Sociology at Portland State University in 2002. As a capstone experience she interned at the Woodrow Wilson International Center in D.C. doing research at the Library of Congress.

After taking time out of the workforce to raise a family, Heather re-entered as a Service Coordinator with the Salem Housing Authority. In this role, she delivered services to the elderly that allowed them to age in place with dignity, which was a fulfilling experience. She has also worked with Section 8 households in the Family Self-Sufficiency Program. Most recently, she served as the Director of Programs and Volunteer Engagement at the Habitat For Humanity Mid Willamette Valley.

Creating goals of independence with families and cheering on their accomplishments inspired Heather to pursue her own goal of home ownership. She connected with a local IDA coordinator and began saving toward her goals. In the summer of 2015, Heather purchased her first home— the perfect place for her and her 3 boys.

Heather is excited to join the Manufactured Housing Community Development Program so she can continue to support positive impacts in communities across Oregon. When she’s not working or volunteering, Heather enjoys gardening, cooking, and quilting.
