This project was initiated by a broad coalition of researchers and community-based organizers from across California, Oregon and Washington. Results from a rapid response survey of farmworkers document how pervasive and deleterious the COVID-19 pandemic has been, and continues to be, on farmworkers and their families. The consortium issued a set of policy recommendations, based on the findings, promoting access to mental health services, fair labor practices, and protections for food workers who serve on the frontlines during the pandemic.
